The fifth season of Stranger Things drops November 26, 2025 and is three episodes long! A new trailer has dropped and fans are freaking out! This season takes place in the fall of 1987 right after the events of the fourth season where the Upside Down has taken over Hawkins, Indiana. The trailer shows an intense showdown with Vecna. The main cast—Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike and Winona Ryder as Joyce—come together for one final battle. Linda Hamilton (Terminator) joins the cast as a medical professional.
Okay, that’s another big name to add to the already impressive list. Principal photography wrapped in December 2024 after a year long shoot. Hamilton said this was the longest she’s ever been on a project. The trailer shows action scenes of soldiers protecting Hawkins, a radio tower connected to the mysterious WSQK station and tendrils from the Upside Down entering the real world. The Duffer Brothers said this season will go deeper into the Upside Down and will be a satisfying conclusion for the characters we’ve loved since 2016.
